Taco Places

I've eaten at Tomatillo's before but it's been awhile. I hadn't been there since I started this blog and stopped by today. I ordered a steak burrito to go. Good steak and beans, fresh lettuce and tomatoes, cheese and bonus points for fresh avocado slices and a toasted tortilla. Solid. Burrito $10.99 4/5 Stars 1267 W. Dundee Rd., Buffalo Grove, IL

Eva's is on the outskirts of my subdivision. I thought I'd try it. I walked in and it didn't smell ... bad ... but it didn't smell entirely inviting. I also noticed their cooler was full of Modelo but not any fruit juice. They had a lot of things on their menu but when I tried to order an arracherras (grilled skirt steak) taco, she said they were out. So I ordered a chicken taco, a regular steak taco and a chorizo taco to go. I went home and had the chicken taco. There was plenty of chicken but it wasn't seasoned. The chicken was pretty plain. Next I tried the steak taco. On first bite, the steak was very rubbery but I continued to eat it. Then I bit into gross parts that made me gag and spit it out. I couldn't finish eating it. The chorizo taco was underwhelming. The next day I thought about the food and started retching and almost threw up again. I'm sorry to say, these were the worst tacos I've had since I've started this project. 3 tacos $10.20 1...
